Lumixyl Skin Brightening System

As a fair-skinned person who has spent a lot of time in the sun I have entered my thirties with some dark spots.  Whoa's me.  I hate them.  I'm always looking for a product that will actually lighten them to a great degree without burning a whole in my pocket and my face.

Lumixyl Skin Brightening System ($270) is a regimen that aims to rid you of age spots, sun spots, uneven skin tone, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and photodamage.  In eight weeks the three main formulas work together to reduce and eliminate the appearance of these spots and more.  An alternative to Hydroquinone the LUMIXYL Brightening System is four-part system that can improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation tolerably and without the side effects associated with prescription Hydroquinone or retinoids.  It's effective but also gentle on most skin through peptides created from naturally occurring amino acids.

It works like this- During the first two weeks you use the Active-Prep Cleanser to clean your face in the morning and night.  Slightly medicinal it is a gel that glides on and cleans easily.  Next you apply the smooth and somewhat soothing Topical Brightening Creme.  A little goes a long way. However, I was out before my eight weeks were up.  Third, is the Moisture-Lock Sunscreen SPF 30.  This looks and feels like a real sunscreen.  It would probably be just fine in the summer months but during the dry winter I found it didn't moisturize my combination skin enough.  I had to supplement with a gentle, natural night creme each day to keep my skin from drying out.  If after two weeks no irritation or reaction has occurred with the first three products then you can incorporate the GlycoPeel 20 Rapid Exfoliating Lotion in the morning.

After two weeks I began to use the GlycoPeel lotion. It tingles a bit but the Moisture Lock lotion calmed and soothed my skin and I could use it daily.  After six weeks I began to notice the my skin was smoother, my freckles less prominent and the three dark spots on my face had lessened considerably as had a red spot above my lip.  I couldn't believe it.  For all its tingling I didn't really think the Lumixyl system was working.  My skin felt supple, smooth and resurfaced but not red or irritated.  I'm surprised but happy and I am going to keep using it.

Lumixyl Skin Brightening System can be purchased from a skin care professional, your dermatologist and at LovelySkin.

Have you continued with the product? How would you rate its ability to clear sun spots? I am considering purchasing and just want to be sure. thanks

I have continued using it and the redness and spots continued to fade. The strange thing is that once I stopped using it about two months later the red scar appeared again. I don't like that at all.
