The Ionic Bulb

What cleans and lights your rooms while saving you up to 75% of energy?  The Ionic Bulb ($19.95), of course!  The Ionic Bulb claims that in a 100 square foot area it can emit a healthier, more natural light full of negative ions. These ions then attach themselves to pollutants in the air and quickly neutralizes them. Dust, smoke, pet dander, allergens, odors and more it claims to help reduce them from the air.

Does it really do that?

It's hard to say. I can say that it lights up a room nicely, though. At first it produces a low, slightly purple glow to it but it quickly changes to regular lighting.  When we received a pack of Ionic bulbs we actually needed to replace a few bulbs throughout our house.  They light up an area just like any other bulb but no other bulb has an air purifier built right into it.  That is pretty amazing.  However, I can't say I have noticed a difference and the $20 price tag for one bulb is a bit steep.  The household pack is $49.95 and is a better deal.  If you smoke and/or have pets this might be a good alternative to test out and use the household pack.
