Nature's Path Organic Foods

We like things fairly green in our house.  Food and snacks are no exception.  Nature's Path Organic foods is a company that doesn't just produce quality, good for you food, but one that lives and works by the practices they preach.  I hadn't tried many of their products until recently and here is what I found.

When the box of Nature's Path Organic items arrived at our door I was surprised at how much was packed inside for us to sample.  A slew of snack bars and boxes of cereal awaited us and we delved right in.  From hemp bars to peanut butter choco granola bars, maple pecan granola bars and kids crispy rice bars available in berry and peanut butter or chocolate flavors we tried many types and loved them all.  Well, the pumpkin and hemp didn't go over very well with the kids, but we liked them.  The flavors are not artificial or processed. Everything tastes true to itself and is loaded with organic ingredients like whole grain, flax, peanuts, real fruit and no high fructose corn syrup or crazy food dyes.  The full list of ingredients is available with each product description on the Nature's Path website, which is wonderful.  Anyone with allergies or sensitivities can fully check out a product before purchasing it.

We also tried three different cereals- Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise, Peanut Butter Panda Puffs and Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch. I found the Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise to be a big hit in our house despite finding the mixture of puffs, flakes and crispies to be sweeter than I expected. Flavored with real vanilla my kids and husband devoured the box in two days.  Everyone loved the unexpectedly delightful and mild flavored Peanut Butter Panda Puffs.  The kid-oriented box was a nice change.  My four year-old liked the activities on the as well as the cereal inside.  It made a good snack for all of us dry or with milk.  The Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch was my personal favorite. The crispy flakes mixed with granola had a light texture that mixed well with the dry but unsweetened berries. Unlike other dry berry cereals this one wasn't additionally sweetened or artificially flavored.  That is a big plus in my book.

Our whole family really enjoyed our foray into trying Nature's Path Organic cereals and bars.  We will definitely be going back for second, third and more helpings at our local grocery store from now on.  These products are full of flavor, good for you and the environment.

You can purchase Nature's Path Organic foods (hot & cold cereals, baking products, snack bars and more) at your local grocery store (Wegman's, Safeway and other natural food stores).
