California Flowers & Hint Cards

How often do you receive flowers? Once a year, maybe? Would you like to receive flowers more often?

You might be in luck then because the California Cut Flower Commission (CCFC) has come up with a “Hint Card” to help deserving women, such as yourself, drop a hint to that certain someone that they would like to receive a beautiful bouquet of the world’s freshest flowers. I received a dozen roses from the CCFC* not too long ago and they were beautiful. These roses had fresh green leaves and stems with gorgeous peachy pink petals and some tiny bright pink roses too. It certainly brightened my week. They lasted for over a week too. Included with my bouquet was a set of Hint Cards.

These Hint Cards incorporate a little romance or humor and are perfect for tucking under pillows, inside lunch bags, stuck on mirrors, left on the inside dashboard of a car, inside a wallet, placed on plates or just delivered by your own hand. I think they are a great idea and funny too. They come in a neat little stack and in a variety of colors and sayings. Each one can be easily detached and hidden somewhere or given outright. I'm forward like that. Why beat around the CCFC bush?
Want some Hint Cards of your own plus a chance to win an opportunity to win a grand prize of one free California-grown bouquet every month for one year? 25 readers will win a set of Hint Cards just by letting me know (in the comments of course) how they would use the cards or who they would give them to. I'll choose 25 readers names on Friday, July 10. Good Luck!

MPR Rating: Four Stars.

*California Cut Flowers meet the strictest growing standards in the world. They are raised in a world-class, year-round environment perfect for growing hundreds of varieties. They were also most likely still in the field just 24 hours before you purchased them and therefore are much fresher and will last longer.
Twenty-five readers have been chosen to receive the Hint Cards. In turn they are now entered to win the grand prize of flowers for a year through California Flowers. Thank you for participating!

Hello, These are a great idea! I would probably give them to my dad to remind him to buy my mom flowers. My husband is usually pretty good at doing it on his own :) Thanks

Flowers every month for a year?! I wouldn't even need the hint cards then. ;-)

Thanks for sharing this with us!!! Hope I win.

Fresh flowers every month for a year! Oh what a treat that would be! My hubby doesn't need reminders, but I do sometimes, so I might give them to him to give back to me!! LOL

Who you kidding once a year, try never. I think that is a great idea about the cards. I usually put a hallmark card in my husbands truck to tell him how much i love him. However he has not gotten the hint to be a little creative. Flowers would brighten my day.

It would be nice to stick a card into a bouquet at the grocery store...maybe complete stranger would see it and get the hint for their signinfigant other! Pass the goodwill and love around!
Seriously, what a cute idea!

I would share the hint cards with everyone! Friends, family, co-workers, and especially strangers. Sometimes it's the words you never think twice about that can chance a strangers day. I'd probably share the flowers with everyone too. :)

Oh man, i'd give those cards to my boyfriend of four years who has yet to get me flowers because the flower shop "doesnt have lilacs".... THEY DONT NEED TO BE LILACS, SILLY - I'LL TAKE ANYTHING!

Gretchen's idea is cool! I would hand them out at my Girls Night Out as "favors" and we would report back the next month about which hints worked!

This is a fabulous idea. Like everyone I always appreciate flowers. But, you knew there was a but coming, I usually only get flowers on Mother's Day and Anniversary and I although it is a nice gesture I think it is more a way to avoid going to the mall and putting thought into a gift. Come to think of it maybe I don't get flowers more often because I am largely ungrateful!! Maybe I could give the cards to myself to remind me to do something nice for someone else. I think what I would do instead is mail then anonymously to my husband like a randsom note and see if flowers show up on my door.

This would be great...I love the hint cards and I know a lot of women that would love to get flowers. We all need to be reminded we are special and that we matter to someone.
Thank you

What an adorable idea! My sweetie is terrific at many things, but rarely ever gives me flowers....I might give him a card or two, but my mind is thinking I would give them to my dearest friend - who gives and gives and gives of herself, and has the most thoughtless husband I've ever known! =) She deserves more. I am an encourager at heart, and love anything to help remind all of us to do more....

Okay, is it sad that even with the hint cards, my husband probably still wouldn't get the hint?? Nowadays I have to come right out and spell it for him..."I would love a bouquet of roses from Costco sometime....preferably in pink". So I'd probably give the hint cards to him and pray that he'll finally have an Oprah "a-ha" moment.

"Not because I gave birth to your child, not because I have stitches in my special place. Just because it's the right thing to do." LOL

My hubs forgot to bring flowers when I had our girls - he needs these cards badly!!

What a neat little reminder to be generous to the people we love. Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the stress of daily life and not remember to stop and smell the roses!

What a great idea! I would use the hint cards to do fun things. I mean of course I would use one of them on my husband. But I also think I would put them in some public places to spread a little love...

I would give them to everyone else in my life to use on me! Sometimes I can be so dense and forgetful. I need a reminder every now and then to be less wrapped up in my own life and more aware of what's going on in others' lives.

Do you have to live in CA to receive these? I live in Las Vegas. I would give these to Sir Luke, my husband. He's pretty good as it is but could use a little push every now and again.

I think, and this may be crazy so please forgive me in advance, but I think I would use them for me.

My hubby is already great and wonderful and remembers everything.

But I don't!! And I would love the reminder to let HIM know how awesome he is.

And I would also use them FOR ME. As a reminder that I need to take a moment to be calm, be happy, be appreicated, and just know in my heart that everything I do has a purpose and a meaning. I'm not JUST as SAHM!

What a neat giveaway!!!

God bless-
Amanda

Hi, I would give these to my husband of 40 years. He is better but could still use some "hints" every now and then.
Thanks,

What a great way to leave a subtle hint. I would place them around my office to remind me to buy flowers for my wife.
